Question
Edit
I see where the thing on top of the engine of this model is being called a "blower." Is it actually a blower or is it just supposed to be a tall air cleaner with a paper filter and chrome top and bottoms? Just curious. Maybe somebody else recognizes what I'm talking about. - When a car has a twin screw diesel engine compressor on the intake (yes these "superchargers" come from 2-stroke diesel big rig engines)with the scoop sticking out the hood. It is common to call it a blower. In my opinion wether you refer to the compressor or the scoop as a blower it makes no difference as neither part actually blows =P Sinnin 06:12, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, that makes sense. Thanks, David. HaarFager 08:31, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
- I looked this up, everyone seems to officially call the supercharger a blower. So the part sticking out of the hood on this casting is just the scoop or intake, and yes the air filters sit inside (if used)Sinnin 12:09, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
