Description

The Nissan Skyline (Japanese:日産スカイライン) is based on the actual production model. This is the 1990 GT-R R32 version of the Nissan Skyline, designed by Alec Tam. The Hot wheels casting portrays a racing variation of the R32 with the rear seats removed and with a Super GT inspired bodykit. The Nissan R32 was the first GT-R variation of the skyline manufactured since the 2000GT-R in 1973. The R32 lead to the R34 Nissan Skyline, which in its time was the most technologically advanced car in the world.

This casting was a first in Hot Wheels history, being the First JDM car to be immortalized as a casting. As of 2016's release of the casting in the Night Burnerz 5-Pack, the casting is modified; the casting's rear wing is no longer a plastic part of the interior piece, it is now cast into the car's body.
