Liberty Promotions, Inc. is one of the largest die cast toy car customizing companies and is based out of Lewisville, TX. It was founded in 1993 as a producer of promotional items; Liberty's production of die cast cars started in 1997[1][2]. While most of its products Hot Wheels brand cars, it has utilized other brands of die-cast occasionally including Johnny Lightning, Racing Champions, Fleer, Ertl, Motor Max, as well as their house brand. Consumer products include collector pieces sold directly to collectors through the website[3], collector pieces created for die-cast clubs or events, and business premiums. Liberty Promotions is most known for its high frequency use of the VW Drag Bus and highly detailed graphics, as well as creative and often cutting edge artwork.

Corporate

Liberty Promotions worked closely with Jiffy Lube and Penske Corporation from 1997-2003. Following that period, the business-to-business branch of the company has worked with many corporations, car clubs and die-cast events.

Liberty Legion

In July 2007, Liberty Promotions launched its collector's club, the Liberty Legion. Existing customers were grandfathered in as Charter Members of the club, and were given points for all of their prior purchases. Points in the Liberty Legion are used to determine a members ranking, starting at Discoverus[4]. As of 2011, the highest rank that any member has reached is Maximus[5].

Convention Appearances

Liberty Promotions made its first convention appearance at the 2004 Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals convention[6] in Dallas, TX. Since then, they've also appeared at the Diecast Super Convention[7] and the Hot Wheels Summer Smash[8] as sponsors.
