The '37 Ford Smoothster is a Hot Wheels casting which debuted in 1996 in the collector-aimed Legends: Custom Rods Boyd Coddington 4-Car Set.
It is based on a real-life vehicle built by famed hot-rodder Boyd Coddington in the early 1990's powered by a Corvette LT1 engine.
The first release of the casting replicated the real-life version, while the next two paint schemes were created by Hot Wheels. The Hot Wheels version was discontinued after only three releases.
