Vector Motors Corporation is an American automobile manufacturer based in Wilmington, California, founded in 1978 by Gerald Wiegert. It was one of America's first attempts to develope supercars that could have competed with European manufacturers like Ferrari and Lamborghini. The company hasn't had a great relevance worldwide, and now is inactive. Some of the most famous models are Vector Avtech WX-3 , developed in 1993, and Vector WX-8, built in 2008: this last one is powered with a 10-litres V8 engine with 1.850 hp, that would make it more powerful than a Bugatti Veyron. The announced speed is 275 mph (443 km/h).
