Description
The 1990 Honda Civic EF (Japanese: 1990 年ホンダシビック EF) is a compact hatchback variant of the EF-chassis Honda Civic, which was part of the Civics' fourth generation of production.
By time 1987 rolled around, Honda was ready to launch the fourth generation of it's widely popular Civic saloon car and hatchback. The EF-chassis Civic, alongside the EE, ED and EC chassis. The Hot Wheels casting depicts the SiR (2-door hatchback) version of the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) model from 1990.The fourth generation of the Honda Civic saw the introduction of the DOHC VTEC (Dual Overhead Cam Valve Lift Timing Electronic Control) Engine, which was only available in Japan until 1992 when Honda replaced the Fourth generation Civic.
Hot Wheels also produced a Sixth-generation model of the Honda Civic Si Coupe in 2001 in Left-hand drive as well as a version of the Integra GSR(a car originally based off the Civic), a North American-market 'Acura'-badged version modified with a Japanese-market front end from the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) Honda Integra GSR.Also, a Mugen-kit Mid-engine converted Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) version of the Honda CR-X , a 2-door hatchback coupe was released.
This casting is the oldest model of Honda Civic released by Hot wheels as of 2017.
