The Nissan 180SX is a fastback automobile that was produced by Nissan Motors between 1988 and 1998. It is based on the S13 chassis from the Nissan S platform and was sold exclusively in Japan. Outside Japan it was re-badged as the 200SX and in the US market as the Nissan 240SX. The Type X ceased production in October 1997.

Like the Toyota AE-86 Corolla, the Nissan 180SX Type X was featured in the anime series 'Initial D' . The one from Initial D was white and was driven by the Character Kenji, while Takumi Fujiwara-the main antagonist in the series, drove the Toyota Ae-86 Trueno.
